Let me know what yee think, a lot more power then my stilo :)
i love those cars.

i'd change the back lights and the front indicators and the wheels personally, but other than that it looks perfect.

Looks good, sure I've seen that car or one very very similar to it around! Don't know if I'm a fan of the rear lights! Bit of a change to the Stilo!! Where were the pics taken? Well wear with it (y)(y)

I have the standard lights in the boot. Plan is to put them on. Needs a lick of paint on front bumper aswell!

Ive only had the car 3 days, but wouldnt be surprised if theres a similar one around! Pics where taken in Youghal!

:woot:didnt you do well (y) and now the six million dollar question ..do you miss the stilo..

ah of course i miss the stilo., it was unique around my way, no car like it... also was very comfy and had a great sound system! But the power of the celica is very nice :)

Thanks for everyones replys.

looks good other than the rear lights and indicators (get some smoked or clear ones).

I like the wheels, they suit the car... you have a bodykit that stands out, so it looks good with toned down wheels... even if they are gold!

i usually really dont like the look of these cars, but i like that one, i think the alloys and bodykit set it off nicely, as jap cars should be done (y)

if you want to be awesome, dont get a spoiler, i think perhaps this year people might start to realise that de-spoilered is the new tailgate-smoothed :chin:

A guy i no had a 190vvti and on the rolling road it only pulled 168bhp, think toyota might of told a little white lie when they printed the figures...

remember its 190PS. PS is a japanese measurement. in BHP it is 187.4bhp.

there is nothing unusual about a car producing 168bhp on a rolling road if it is quoted to produce 187bhp. that is less than a 10% variance, which is normal.

on another rolling road it could produce 160bhp, then on the next 180bhp, you cant expect one particular rolling road session to provide the same result as when the manufacturer obtains the bhp rating following industry guidelines, its a very different method so the result is bound to be different. one thing we can say is that there is far more consistency and accuracy and regulation in the manufacturer's method than there is at your local rolling road. personally i dont trust either figure.

also remember that the quoted bhp figure is only an average peak figure. any particualr example could have more or less. also remember that over time power is genrally lost due to losses of compression and losses of flow efficiency, so age and mileage and service history and even the fuel used can play a large part in the result you get.

also remember that a 190vvti is desinged to run on 100ron fuel, in the uk super unleaded is only 98ron so you expect a car with fully adaptive ignition timing (like the vvti) to produce less power on uk fuel.

I got it dyno'd yesterday at 183.7bhp and 140 torque. Was very happy with it. I was hoping for 180, seeing as its a) jap import and b) 9 year old car!
