Why do you want the head skimmed? Has it been carefully measured and deemed no longer flat?
In my time in the motor trade I've seen so many heads skimmed, and so few were necessary. If there is no surface damage, like where a gasket has burnt, a skim is probably unnecessary. Even non-flat a little beyond the spec will usually tighten down and cause no issues. When heads are clamped to the block in service, they do not warp, unless they somehow manage to stretch some head bolts. Removing them while still hot can cause distortion as they cool, but this is unlikely as they are cool long before all the ancillaries are removed ready to lift the head.
Save the time and money and stick it back on.
