Should i tip the recovery man?

Normally i would tip good recovery man but tonight when my vans water pump went i did not have and change or fivers and mrs dave reckons you don't tip them any way.
This got me wondering do others tip them?

they are not normally allowed to have their own cash with them at work, people tip bar staff all the time though.
recovery guys get seriously injured even killed doing what they do and are made to work terrible hours as jobs under 100km from base are tacho exempt

i would only tip a good recovery guy not one that drives with loading beacons on.

I tipped the AA man who came to my rescue when my Polo developed an electrical fault and stopped. He spent a couple of hours working on my car finding the wire and eventually running a wire alongside it as a temporary fix. Few would have went to such bother.
