OK I Panic all the time...But, I love my Bravo. :(

I was in the City yesterday and felt my car deserved a nice treat for sitting in traffic so long, I filled up with £38 V-Power petrol and ever since the car has STUNK of petrol. Mainly on start-up when walking around near the exhaust. It seems smoother in higher revs though, but may be my imagination.
Also the cars idle seems to sit high like 950rpm when the temp is in the middle of the gauge, it use to tick over at 850rpm and when coming to a junction with the clutch down, the revs drop to about 600rpm then go back up to 900rpm and varies between 900rpm and 1050rpm up and down up and up down etc etc. After I put my foot down to about 85mph on the motorway, it seemed fine, but just got back from work and when I started my trip, it started doing it again.

I assume it's down to the petrol, but could it be something else?

Unless its contaminated fuel, V-power is perfectly god and is unlikely to be the cause of the revs going wonky. I bought my 1.8HLX with 55k on the clock, did 35k in it, and never had any engine probs at all! All it ever drank in that time was Optimax/V-power

I didn't actually answer your question. I'd suspect the airflow meter before blaming whats almost 100% perfectly good fuel

More importantly, did you get your free Ferrari model car? (free when you sepnd £30+ on VPower fuels)

I now have the Enzo, F1 and Superamerica!

Do you think the Vpower diesel makes any differance? tried it in mt astra van, and can't tell any change!

Waste of time putting it in an Astra, it only works on decent Italian cars lol

I dont normally buy it as my Skoda is hardly what you'd call a performance diesel. However, is the first time i've filled it as its been sat on the drive unused for a couple of months, and i didn't have any Forte fuel treatment handy. I usually pop a bottle in every 6 months, and have ordered some that i can use next week.
I certainly cant sense any performance difference using it.

I filled up the other day and put the regular Shell in, not realising that the free cars only came with the V Power fuel. I told the girl behind the counter I had a little boy who loved Ferarri's, and she gave me one anyway, bless her ;)

Thing is, I now need to get another one otherwise his sister will feel left out !

Didn't realise my girlfriend ran it out of petrol the previous day, so it may of got some crap clogged in it? She's clever for a blonde, but still so dumb. lol.

Car has sorted itself it seems..for now. I really think my car has a mind of its own!

I didn't get offered a Ferrari! The guy behind the counter was kinda scary...didn't fancy asking. lol

i didnt get one either and my bill was £45. Is it just a one off purchase you get it for?

You should get one with every 30 Litres of V Power fuel.
