Good day!
52 Dynamic that had 14k on it when I got it a year and a half ago that has had erm, 34k put on it since. Most of it high speed motorway.
The steering warning light came on erratically, rain or shine, on starting the car, sometimes while driving. Sometimes the power failed, sometimes it didn't.
Soon after I got it, the battery discharged overnight, no electrics left on. New one fitted, ok during it's high miles days, but now discharges after 2 or 3 days standing.
Air bag warning light came on a few weeks ago and stays on. A few days after that, seat belt warning won't go out!
Well dodgy electrics. Me a spark and all, but has anyone experienced any of this list?
How difficult is it to work on the airbag as I've heard they go off sometimes?
I hit a snow stick (what they use to mark where the road is when there's deep snow) at over 69mph, amazed at how well it handled and stopped, about 20 feet from an oncoming artic!
But, it left a distinctive racing stripe on the front bumper and slightly bent the cross member behind the bumper, shearing all the headlamp bolts, slightly twisting radiator - that's ok. The headlamp was replaced, but the bottom 2 holes don't line up any more.
Makes me wonder if the thud has shaken the engine fusebox cables loose? It happened over a year ago, so maybe not.
Any ideas? Cheers
