Hi all,

Last year I paid for a service to completed on my 2002 1.9 JTD however I was wondering how easy it is to do the service myself? If anyone has done this already could help by answering a few queries I have? (Apologies if these are obvious!):

1 - how often do you need to change the glow plugs?

2 - do you need to change fuel filter everytime?

3 - Are the service parts easy to get hold of?

4 - are there any access problems due to the limited space under the bonnet?

5 - Is there anything else relating just to the multipla that should be checked / changed on a normal service?

Sorry for all the questions and I look forward to hearing from you all!
Cheers,
Tom.

Hi all,

Last year I paid for a service to completed on my 2002 1.9 JTD however I was wondering how easy it is to do the service myself? If anyone has done this already could help by answering a few queries I have? (Apologies if these are obvious!):

1 - how often do you need to change the glow plugs? If it starts from cold ok I'd leave them!

2 - do you need to change fuel filter everytime? Fiat Recomend it to be changed every 12k/12months

3 - Are the service parts easy to get hold of? Yes

4 - are there any access problems due to the limited space under the bonnet? Not that I am aware of

5 - Is there anything else relating just to the multipla that should be checked / changed on a normal service? Check out the antiroll bar for worn drop links/D bushes!

Sorry for all the questions and I look forward to hearing from you all!
Cheers,
Tom.

Hope that helps!
