purplemonday whens it going in for work? Has door seal been cured before? I have wind noise on drivers side, but can see nothing wrong with door or seal and am very tempted to leave it as dealer will probably make it worse! Especially when you search around on net it seems something that a lot of Stilos do.

March '04, 5 dr Stilo Active & Sept '00, HLX 5 dr Punto.

I've still got to get it booked in as trying to decide where to take it...do I 'risk' the local dealer (see posts regarding Stoneacre to see why...) or do I take a 20 mile drive to a dealer with a better reputation.

I'll let you know how I get on

well, I'm pretty sure it's not the fuel sensor because as well as the fuel sensor warning, I'm getting "Low Oil pressure stop" now which then clears after a second too. The oil level is fine in the car.

My new display panel hasn't come in yet but the car is due it's 2 year service at the end of the moneth - I'm going to insist they get the part in for then. It's bloody annoying this.

sorry to spoil your hopes cmc but the new display might look nice but it aint gonna cure your problem, fiat still havent replied, sory to hear about your new problem, not many people are posting to say they have our problem so im begining to think it is a fault,at a guess i would say the computer is faulty and that is why you are getting random error messages, try and get your dealer to change this rather than the display it seems to make more sense,on a lighter note i cleaned my stilo today to cheer me up,those 17"claws were gleaming ,a perfect end to a perfect good friday:)

I'm pretty sue you're right. I've had a long discussion with the head tech about it and he seems clueless (about the problem and about Fiats in general). Afterall the displat doesn't determine the message it only gets told what to report. But I just can't convince them.

Go on post some pics of the car to cheer us up - i'm sure it looks great. [8D]

I've got a 52 Abarth and since having the car I've had intermittent temperature & gearbox warnings (a quick flash, beep and then nothing). Had an ASR failure warning too although a quick off and on with the ignition cleared that one!
Anyone else had such wierdness ?

I've had this email back from Fiat
-----------

Thank you for your enquiry.

I am not aware of these faults being a re-occurring problem with the Fiat Stilo. So there isn't any resolution I can immediately offer you.

What I would suggest is contacting a different dealership/s to see if they are familiar with this problem or perhaps have experience with the same problem on different models they may have handled in the past.

I enclose a dealer locator link. This will allow you to identify different dealership in and around your postcode.

I hope this helps

Many Thanks

you can't post photos directly on the forum, you have to have them hosted somewhere else, like a yahoo photo album or something??

Cheers

any updates yet cmc,i think im just going to accept that some stilos have faulty computers that dont work properly, ill ask my dealer again about the problem when its due for service,my car has an annoying creak coming from the dash when the fans are on as well, fiat arnt sure what causes this either, its proberbly just down to poor build quality, thanks to everybody which has replyd

Andy

my new display panel is on back order (6 weeks now I've been waiting). My car gets serviced in 2 weeks. I'm going to call them next week and ask where the hell the part is. I can't be bothered going back and forward to the dealer, they should not be taking that long to get the part in surely!

Supid barstewards.
