Technical Screen washer nozzles

These are shooting all over the pace and the old pin adjustment method is not working. Am I right in thinking these are pre-set in a fixed position, and the solution is to replace them. I see on Ebay that Fiat 500 ones have a slot in the side presumably for up/down adjustment. Do these fit a Panda and are they the better option?

I had a similar issue with my Panda, tried adjusting via the slot on the side with a screwdriver, and the pin method to no avail. I ended up just buying a new set on eBay for about £5 - probably your best bet.

On another note, has anyone fitted washers that spray wide rather than 2 squirts per side? e.g. Saxo ones (from a facelift model) have a wide spray pattern.

I was just going to say the same thing.

I just replaced my 1.0 W reg Saxo with my Panda, and on the Saxo I bought some Fiat misting washer jets as I hate the pathetic squirty nozzles that you used to get. The misting ones were great, however I was disappointed to find that not only does the Panda not have them, it doesn't seem any will fit.

My Grandpa's 54 Reg Punto has them, though. Which is annoying.

Any ideas?

Ah, I once fitted Volvo mist jets to a 9-3 SAAB. They were much better and stopped any catching of the glass as it was all soaked nicely, but they were about 2 inches too low in positioning on the glass.
Does anyone know the magic solution.......mist ....spot on the target ....or just FIAT 500 ones with a slot adjuster?

These are shooting all over the pace and the old pin adjustment method is not working.

Look in the side of the main plastic body of the washer and you'll see a screwdriver slot - turn this with a small, electrical-type screwdriver to adjust the angle of the jets. Tricky though - slightest turn makes a lot of difference, best to have someone operate the washers as you adjust. Also, try pushing the screw 'in' further -- they tend to work out of the end as time goes by which affects the jets

Fitted mist type to our Panda, the angle on the scuttle doesn't allow them to work as well as they do on our Stilo, but still work better than the OEM setup IMO.

I had trouble with the nozzles being loose and I managed to remove them and I dried them and wrapped a tiny piece of insulating tape round each one. Four years later they are still ok.

Just some aftermarket ones from a car parts store. I think Halfords do them, might be worth a look.

Yesterday I removed them, soaked them in vinegar and then used a needle to clean the holes, refitted and adjusted with a flat screwdriver, now (for the 1st time since I bought the car) I have 3 clean squirts at the correct windscreen height!

I'd still prefer the mist type ones as per Saxo but this will do for now.
