How should it be pronounced?:p

scons. Scones sounds posh. Strangely the father in law thinks that scones is the common way of saying it :confused:
 
it just the way you say it i think. 'Scon' just seems more abrubt to me. Try saying scon and scone in a llyod grossman accent and you might see what i mean!:eek:
 
Depends where you're from & how you were dragged up.

I say scone, stone, lone
Yet I say shon (the light shone...)

I say grass as in ass (not as in arse) and bath not baarth)

Why is it that the relationship between one gear and another is called ratio (ray-she-o), yet the paved area in the back garden is patio (pat-ee-o)?:D

Personally for me it's scone, and it sounds posh if you say "scon".
