I don't want to argue over who is right and who's wrong but at the end of the day I have the kit here (on my car mind) to measure.
Again it is either because my car was one of the first to have the kit or it's just warped and fowled over time.
I don't know as I was not the original owner of the car, flame me.
Thanks
The kit in question is mine. I've had another look on your site and mine doesn't look anywhere near as smooth as the ones shown. Could just be down to the ageing. If it's from when you first started making them perhaps it's time to change, as the sillicon might have seen better days.
I'm going to take the kit off and have a look inside, if it's still smooth and ridge free then I know then it's just a silly cosmetic issue.
It's a long shot but do you remember fitting and dyno'ing my car? If you want the Reg etc i'll send you it in a PM.
Thanks
An issue that was always cited with the gsr kit was the bob, and it was constantly stated that it was not restrictive. I don't understand why its now been redeveloped for a market which has surely peaked, especially if it was never an issue ?
Sounds a bit like the one that i have made.
Something like this......

I wonder where the idea came from!
so it sounds like the silicone hose goes over the whole throttle body
i would of thought this would increase the perfomance over the mk1 kit but i guess it depends on how high the bit over the throttle body is
a picture would be nice
Custard, i think they were referring to the SPI kit.
I may be wrong.........

I can check the reg, but might not be able to come up with anything if the car has been done over 3 years ago because some noob didn't save the data on the rollers. The hard drive died 3 years ago.
It is always possible to improve. And at the time the version with the bop was designed the bop was around 4.50 pounds. The bop is now over 17 pounds plus Vat. If the whole kit is made from one piece of silicone the cost of the induction is not much higher.
So if the cost to make the whole kit is "not much higher," then why didnt you make the whole kit out of silicone in the first place?
Nothing like a biased Mod to keep the field uneven.
Is it just me, or does this not make any sense? If some "noob" didn't save the data, why does it matter that the hard drive died three years ago?
