General Running In Restrictions

Hi,

When I collected my 1.4 Easy the dealer stated for the first 1400 miles the car was restricted in some way and I would notice a big difference in performance after 1400 miles. 1400 miles has arrived, no difference!! Was the dealer having a laugh or was I not listening?

He's just telling you to run the engine in. There should be a slight difference when all the components are bedded in but I wouldn't say its noticeable.

There is a difference but since its the 1.4 non-Multiair engine, there will be virtually NO difference as JPritcard said.

However these Multi-air engines do require time to bed in, I gave mine 1500 miles and was a huge difference.
