OK so I got a second hand rocker cover that I want to spray up,
My question is, will normal spray pant just bubble when the engine is hot? If so am I better off using heat proof spray paint and Lacker?

Yes, you will need VHT paint and a suitable high temperature lacquer. I tried it once on an old car....and it bubbled and burnt within 10 minutes.

I've used aerosol "cellulose" from a rattle can in the past and it was OK. If doing it that way you must degrease the rocker cover thoroughly, rinse well, abrade off any oxide, clean again with acetone or panel wipe and use an etching primer suitable for aluminium. You can't apply most paints to aluminium and expect them to bond properly.

But it'll still be very prone to chipping.

A much better way is to degrease, bead blast and powder coat.

You'll need to remove the steel baffle inside the rocker cover.

Hey im tempted to do the same i have bought blue caliper paint for the high temp but im struggling to remove the cover i undo all the bolts and the clips at the back near the injectors have all snapped due to when i prized it up to change the gasket..... any pointers hahaha ?

you need a new gasket normally as well as a tube of instant gasket otherwise the covers leak
you should purge the breather pipe from the cover with a gunge solvent it may leak more if you dont
