Right,

been pondering this a while.

Which would people rather go to this year?

I know for certain that I'll be going to Donny south, over the years its proved the best atmosphere for an overnight camping event and brought us closer as a group :)

But if enough people are interested we could split it down the middle and do both events?
eg. say if 10 or more people want to go to stanford hall then we can have a stand there as well as have a stand at donny south.
I know young mr marsh won't be too keen on the "chav" show so he will probably favour stanford hall, which means we have an organiser available for each event.

thoughts?

Mr Marsh luuuuuurves Donnysouth (hence he didnt put stanny hall on his events listing).

If peeps dont fancy donnysouth they are very welcome to put us down for a few at Stannyhall. Donnysouth has always proved a big event with us and as you know we welcome all members wether their car is modded or not.

I do understand that peeps may want to go to Stanny instead and thats fine by me. We wil just have to put someone else in charge for Stanny if a nice number are going.

(Oz - you still have our banner?)

do you think its wise if I popped to Al's at the weekend and got the banner to my house? He's only up the road and I'll be at all the shows this year (inc the chav ones Al & wim ;))

what you think?

I do indedd have the banner chaps. No worries there.

As for the choice, I will no doubt be going to Donny. Usually draws a good crowd. We also have MITcar around that time and plenty of other Italian events - perhaps a poor turnout will make AI wise to the fact that they should put more thought into their planning. ;)

I heard on the grapevine that it was moved because the ferrari owners club was busy on the original day so they moved it for them...

says a lot really.

Dan makes a good point there. As much as I loved Stanford because it's great for my kids, I felt it was more about satisfying the Ferrari crowd and all the wannabe Italians (W'iti's as I call them !). It was very segragated with all the "poor mans" Italian metal on the ****ty side of the drive, and all the expensive stuff by the river and marquee's. Jackie and the kids loved it but I kinda felt a bit marginalised ;)

I love Donny too, especially for the camping and camaraderie. Plus you get to laugh heartily at all the chavs and it's reasonably close to me ;) However, it's not great for my kids (too young and the day is too long) especially as camping would be a no-no.

I am torn, but I have to say I'm erring towards Donny ;)

The dancing donkey is the reason that I'd go for donny south - oh wait a minute, Smee won;t be with us will he !
Al, you've got to come to donny south this year so we can congregate in the frilly canvas bungalow it was cold in the rain last year. It'll save Jay having to remove beer stains from his car mats as well.
I do enjoy the relaxing day at Stanford Hall, especially when it's a scorcher and we can set fire to the grass and Wimmy's shoes but if I had to chose I'd go for Donny South for sure.
