Afternoon all !!

I am back !! (What do you mean you didn't know I had gone away ??!! LOL)

After what seems an eternity, those feckwits at Wanadoo have at last got my DSL switched back on !

Anyway, to anyone who left me messages or mails, apologies for the delay in replying, but I'll get round to it soon, once I have waded through the 1000 odd emails and stuff that has accumalated this past month or so ! :)

It's good to be back :)

Been moving house and waiting for the feckwits at Wanadoo to switch me back on :)

Thought you'd miss me Rog ;)

House Moves = Not Funny.

Didn't you take your telephone number with you with you when you moved? I moved last year and got reconnected with Bastard Telecom in three/four days or so.

NB - I'm still painting to this day.

Sadly, even though I only moved a couple of miles across the city, my new house is served by a different exchange and therefore couldn't keep my number, even though I work for BT !

Wanadoo charged me £25 to move and then proceeded to feck up the transfer in a grand style. What should have happened in a week has taken over a month. Needless to say I have got a refund and a couple of free months service.

As for painting, I currently rent so I don't bother with that but I know what you mean :)

Oh, and so you can all have a real good laugh, due to BT (or Bastard Telecom as Rog so accurately put it :) ) screwing up their company car system, I am still having to wait for my Mondeo TDCi 130 and have now been lumbered with a Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi !!! :( :(

Highly practical with baby and all, but a complete dog of a drive !!

I never thought I'd say it but I miss my Vectra CDTi !

I used to work for Wanadoo or Freeserve as they used to be known :)

Well, I've been with Freeserve/Wanadoo since '98 and have had very little cause to complain but when they told me it would take no more than 10 working days to complete the switchover from my old number to my new number and then it took over a month, with multiple phone calls to incompetent idiots who made dumb errors like trying to activate the DSL on my disconnected old line or losing all my new details or contacting me on my new number to tell me they had no record of my new number (???) I soon lost my rag and will be trying to source a competent new provider shortly (All suggestions welcome).

The silly thing is, I work for BT and am eligible for cheap Broadband as an employee, but I don't see myself being there too long and don't want to end up stuck with BT/Yahoo after I leave. Certain members of my family have had bad experiences with BT as an ISP and I'm reluctant to change.

Ah well, there are more serious things to worry about :)

Try your fellow wops, Tiscali.
I am thoroughly satisfied with them.
Previously with Lineone, who were taken over by Tiscali.
Only one problem since signing up, that was due to a Balls-up Telecom equipment failure. It did take Tiscali almost 2 weeks to find that out, though!
2 Mb broadband for £20 (capped - 15 Mb per month) currently on offer to new customers.
