I had my car serviced a coupla weeks ago, prior to that the service indicator on the dash display was telling me every day that a service was due. Yesterday I caught sight of a message that service date was overdue or had expired or some such. So it looks like the dealer didn't reset the indicator.

Does anyone know if this can be easily done via the dash controls, or do I have to trudge back to the dealer?

As an update, just been out to the car, the odo reads about 7599 miles, going into the dash menu, under service it says 4999 miles, if I push the plus button it reads 00dd, but it doesn't reset the strange reading of 4999 miles. How odd! Manual says take it dealer for reset.

Help!

Update, looks like it's a job for the dealer after a source through this site. Anyone know better?

You need to take it to the dealer.

What you see in the menu is that you have 0(zero) days or 4999 miles to next service. It tells you when next service is due in both days and miles.
So if you were to get it reset it would say 20.000 km (or what ever that is in miles) and 365 days. Whenever one of these hit zero it's service time.

Was told at the garage that Fiat give you 4 weeks or 1000miles over your service due point. If you allow the unit to go past this point it ends your warrenty.

Totally agree, my dealer said the same (not with the weeks though, but that makes sense). (y)

I even think it says so in the manual. I seem to remember something about +/- 1500 km at service time (which fits perfectly with 1000 miles).
