Styling Replacing front Fender/Wing

You may find those wheel trims are not as rigid or durable as the original ones.

If they are the same as the ones I had, they look ok and work the same as the originals, but... the paint peels away in chunks when damaged by wheelbraces or kerbs.
Still much better than generic ones which fall off.
Could be worth hanging on to the original ones and repainting just in case. I'm sure you will come across a spare Dynamic one at some point to make a set.

Struggling to find a courier that'll collect it from the FF Members address to my address, as its the dimensions that are confusing things.

It's just under 1 metre from front to back (the longest length), not as tall, and quite thin as its a single panel.

It weight 3.6kg.

myHermes etc have a maximum circumference of e.g. 245cm and I'm not sure the wing fits inside those guidelines :-(

Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Well done in finding one in the correct colour. Save all the faff of painting.

That all depends on its condition when it arrives.
Often, when a panel is removed from a car (accident write-off?), and then boxed and sent by courier, it can arrive with scuffs, scratches or worse.

Don't mean to put a damper on this, but be prepared for disappointment. I've had it happen before. Really hope it is exactly what you want - especially the paint matching. Keep us posted.

I saw the picture on eBay there. Looks alright. Even if it's covered in minor clearcoat scratches it'd blend in more.

I will post a before and after once it's all sorted!

Hopefully it will be on its way to me, arriving soon. Once here, I can determine if it is packaged OK, then what dimensions and weight and between us can arrange a courier.

Bit of a trek from here to meet SB off a ferry, so hoping that won't need to be an option. Unless we arrange a relay up the country. Courier please, otherwise it is getting complicated.:D

Whichever is easiest for you portland_bill ! Though I went out and measured my wing and tried to get quotes online. It should be 3,6kg. The dimensions is where the online quotes confuse me! Lol

Hope you know more than I do about it! But I will do whatever I need to easy any hassle on your end. Appreciate you helping me with it :)

The new (donor) wing is on its way across the Irish Sea!

Along with the new Fiat replica wheel trims, the Panda will get a welcomed refresh!

Looking forward to posting the before and after.

New Wing is officially here! Gave it a bit of a clean on the painted side with a bit of fairy liquid to get the dust and grime layer off. It'll be washed and waxed prior to fitting.

Couple of bent finns where the bolts go into but nothing severe and with a bit of care will be straightened out.

Going to use wooden squares matching the panel gap specification from eLearn in order to get it put on RIGHT. Though some of us think due to the bolts and no need to weld that it should fit perfectly without needing too much attention?

One side had a yellow type of sealant which is now brittle and broken from the rest of the car of course. Which sealant is this so I can go and buy some for the fitting process?

Glad it looks OK. I only saw it wrapped, so no idea of contents.

Sealant is probably a usual seam sealer. There's a section titled "Bodyshop", might be worth asking the question there, with a pic of the actual positioning of the goo. There are some body gurus on here, so hopefully one will advise. (Me and bodywork, not a good combination)

Bodyshop and paint specialists will sell you some polyurethane sealant. Its not costly and sticks like (%$£$%). Remove all the old stuff and smear sealant over any freshly damaged paint. Obviously, any rust will need to be cleaned out, zinc'd, primed, etc.
