I have the stock Blaupunkt head unit in my '56 Grande Punto, I want to fit my iPod kit that connects to the back of the unit in the CD changer connection however I don't seem to be able to find the radio code for my car and I know if worst comes to worst I can post in the code thread my S/N and get the code (hopefully) or contact Fiat but if its possible can I pull the head unit out without disconnecting the power? Just enough to plug in the iPod kit, is the power lead that long enough to do this?

Thanks,
Dom

Thanks! Just a tiny quick question. Just had a go, can't get my radio out full stop. Noobie here on removing head units, never done it before. Inserted radio keys, seem to go into holes but for the life of me I cannot get it out. Any help?

For future reference the power cable is long enough to remove unit and connect things without unplugging it in case anybody ever wants to know. :)

assuming there was enough wire at the factory that day...welcome to Italian electrics;)

leaving it connected and hanging down will likely result in scratched dash or heater panel, just unplug it & make it easier(y)

What IPOD kit are you fitting?
