Got a Pioneer MVH330DAB radio to fit and discovered more plugs than the 16 plug pin. See image. What these foryellow/green/blue wires? Do I need a adapter plug other than the one supplied with new stereo to include these?

Cheers

This is brillinat

Quick question: is it okay to add two things to the ignition? Like if I wanted to do stereo and dash cam?
As long as the total current is less than the circuit was designed for,

Radio is only a sense wire so negligible

If you keep to original fuse value in place as in the video it will never cause any damage

Dashcam you will have to look at it's maximum current draw, most will be quite small and okay, there might be some at 2A or more, my door bell camera for example is 2A while charging, still doable but I would have to be more careful which circuit got piggy backed

Thank youuuuuu

Is it possible to just route the fuse split power cord into the main connector for the new stereo?

Like I’m seeing this guy do it on Yourube and he doesn’t have the special harness linked above

Also, I don’t have a facia yet, but is there a way I could secure the new stereo (even if with zip ties or screwing into plastic inside the dash)?

Most radios have an auto power off feature. If you do forget they shut off with a time delay after ignition off. I set mine to zero seconds. Some have a set time with the ignition off. When you forget the radio is on, it will switch itself off after a time delay.

OEM radio detects the ignition off by canbus, and just works

Third party radios as in this thread have no canbus

No canbus, no ignition on or off detection, no automatically switching off.

If you want the radio to automatically switch on and off a method of detecting the ignition switch has to be added

I was also wondering if it would be possible to put an actual button behind the dumby button on the console panel.

Has anyone done that?

I did a ‘momentary’ switch on for some air horns I put on my panda, everyone used to look around for the unseen truck, but that wasn’t using the actual blank other than a place to hold in the screw in switch

I just fitted an Eonon X3 to my 2011 Panda 4x4 , and it switches on and off with the ignition. Simply unplugged the original cd/radio and plugged in the Eonon.
It even has a volume knob. I’m very happy for the $129.99 I paid.

I have no idea what's going on

Pin 1 and 3 are CAN control

Cars with steering wheel buttons also have an ignition-operated power supply on pin 7

I don't have wiring diagrams for every model and make

hiya!
Reaching out to ask if there is a manner of installing the new stereo cage that seems to work best — would love to get a fascia one day so zip ties might not work forever!

Also, has anyone every 3D printed a Fascia?

You can get bezels and fitting kits fairly cheaply

Quality and compatibility varies

I don't know which are the best

They still normally need a bit of modifying

This one looks like a neat install
