For anyone whose rear wiper quits: mine did. I looked here as I contemplated the fate. Then after nada here, my mechanic (an all-car mechanic, family mechanic, not trained in Fiat). He dabbled with it for $72. Then I made an appt with a European car shop. They charged me $200 to find a wire wasn't grounded in the rear door (hatch) where the wiring is housed. I store EVERYTHING back there. Groceries, etc. I use that door a lot. So if any of you run into this, it's what was wrong - in my case. Hopefully this information will help save someone some bucks to have repaired. It shouldn't cost that much to ground a wire! Best wishes !

Hi, welcome back,:)

the general issue in the UK is that the wiring fatigues where the cable is bent and straightened with the opening and closing of the hatch tailgate,

a repair kit is available with better ( more flexible) wires ,

is it possible that this was the nature of your repair..?,

Sounds like it! Makes sense, really. Unfortunately, that rear window wiper is a needed feature, since rear visibility is NOT a big "plus" feature my 500 POP! (Hard to see behind me!)
That kit might be handy for my family mechanic, so HE can fix it next time, and the time after that...
