Hmm? When I turn right I seem to get a rubbing/droaning noise on the N/S. I think it's the rear but it's hard to tell.Intend to get a 2nd opinion from friend what end's doing it.

Sounds like a rear bearing as you'll load up the N/S when turning right. i jacked up front/rear and spun the wheels. Both seemed smooth no play.

Can the bearing be on it's way out with no outward physical signs?
 
Sounds like it is the bearing.

In particular, it is the sound that often gives them away first. It can be ages before you get actual play or sticking.

See if putting the handbrake on a bit stops it. If so, it is almost certainly from the back.
