Read the Handbook?

It's great to spend time on here understanding other's issues and trying to help when possible, but a lot of questions can be answered from the vehicle's handbook. e.g. fuses and relays, warning light meanings, headlamp adjustment, etc.

Am I the only sad soul who reads the whole handbook soon after I get a car? Or do very few cars still have the handbook in them when sold used? (I do admit though, I have never read the section on fitting child seats. Those are for other people's cars.)

More often than not, if I've replied to a thread saying "refer to the handbook" the OP replies that they never got it with the car.

I always read them... -- but, then, I used to write the blummin' things (for the IT industry). And, if one doesn't come with the car, there's always eBay!

Therein lies the problem. Mine's in the glovebox. If it is left in the car, it shouldn't get lost, but left in the house, it gets put "away" and missed when the car gets sold. Lofts everywhere must be full of them.

nah , no need to read it to there is something wrong imo , and then figure something out , ALOT easyer then all this whats in the log book crack

Edit i know of A member on here who Swears by the books ..

if its in the glovebox you get wet going out side to read it, better to sit in the dry and ask on here
