Re: Quick Queston thread

wow. that makes even less sense.

dictionary:
–verb (used with object) 1. to deposit as security, as for money borrowed, esp. with a pawnbroker: He raised the money by pawning his watch.
2. to pledge; stake; risk: to pawn one's life.
–noun 3. the state of being deposited or held as security, esp. with or by a pawnbroker: jewels in pawn.
4. something given or deposited as security, as for money borrowed.
5. a person serving as security; hostage.
6. the act of pawning.

perhaps you mean pwn?

dictionary:
Pwn is a leetspeak slang term, derived from the word "own", that implies domination or humiliation of a rival, used primarily in the Internet gaming culture to taunt an opponent who has just been soundly defeated. Past tense is sometimes spelled pwnt (pronounced with a t sound), pwned, pwnd, pwn3d, or powned (with the standard d sound). Examples include "pwnage" or "You just got pwned!"
In hacker jargon, to "pwn" means "to compromise" or "to control," specifically another computer (server or PC), web site, gateway device, or application. It is synonymous with one of the definitions of hacking or cracking. An outside party who has "owned" or "pwned" a system has obtained unauthorized administrative control of the system.

ok if you want to be awkward.

pawn is a gaming term meaning to beat or thrash someone at something e.g in COD4 if you say you are going to pawn someone it means you will beat them by miles with them having no kills and you having no deaths as a result but you will have killed them multiple times.

that make more sense?

Re: Quick Queston thread

Yeah im being awkward, sorry :p

"Pwn" is the accepted term, ive never once heard/read "pawn" before you started writing it.

It obviously came from the word "pwn" so what makes it better to say? Its a longer word. It also means something else entirely.

And, if im being completely honest, it anoys the English in me imensely.

Re: Quick Queston thread

Accepting a mini-fb application may have been the first clue in what went wrong! ..nah, not even I is that brain dead:eek:. I've just managed to sort it.. I/or one of the felines, must have ctrl/+- a lot.. I don't know why it wouldn't let me reset last night, but its back to normal now.

For some reason I have the urge to supercharge something
Mikeee I think this is the most ontopic thread you have ever made
