We've had this topic on here before, and my opinion has only shifted slightly since then, in as much as having seen more and more Audis with LED lights I think they could be acceptable.Have you ever had to turn onto a dual carrage way (70MPH and thats if they're sticking to the speed limit) from a junction which dosen't have a slip on of off, in thick fog or even just poor conditions in which it seems people 'forget' their lights?
Not very nice or safe. Having DRLs will prevent accidents and help those who seem to forget to put their lights on, or can't judge if theyre needed or not and so decided to leave them off!

Above is a pic of the junction I have to use daily to get to work. I have to drive over the 1st carrageway and turn right. This is a nightmare when its foggy or theres poor visability and people have little or no lights on. Hopefully everyone can now see why I'm making a fuss. I've nearly had people go into the side of me to many times in fog! and at 70MPH its turns out to be deadly combination.
With regard to the above scenario, this is another example of driving being reduced to the level of operating a domestic appliance.
Never having been to Scandinavia, I'm not speaking from experience, however, is it not the case that parts of Norway are in, or close to, the ArcticI live in Norway where you have to have your lights on all the time, it is illegal to have your lights off at any time, even if your car is just warming up on your personal drive.
It is a very good idea becouse you can see cars coming on the road ahead of you, even in broad daylight, and if you walk past a parked car and the lights are on you know the engine is running and to BEWARE.
After all it costs nothing to have your lights on so why the hell not.
It should also become law for motorcycles...
How many times have you only seen a bike at the last minute due to its lack of lights !!!!
Bring on the lights worldwide !!!!
Circle, which means for much of the year you have anywhere up to 23 hours of darkness. Admittedly, this is ameliorated by having 23 hours of daylight for part of the year. Do you not also have, as was mentioned earlier, a lot of tunnels? Norway also has much more lightly inhabited countryside that the UK
which means more unlit roads.
I'm hoping that was meant tongue in cheek.and were on the side of the Germans in the war.
