Two days ago I received a package delivered by Hermes Couriers.

It was meant to be two boxes each containing a rear light taped together but one got loose and hence wasn't delivered.

Now after a lot of contact Hermes have established the missing package isn't in the delivery van that came to my house, isn't in the Dunstable, Nuneaton or Bradford depots it supposedly passed through and isn't in the sub-depot it was dispatched from.

Ladies and Gentlemen, somewhere in the Hermes Couriers delivery network there is a black hole. Let's sort Stephen Hawking a few days of Work Experience. In the meantime enjoy my Grande showing off it's indecisiveness.

Incidentally, I've never liked these lights on any other Punto I've seen, but after seeing them on mine, I've completely changed my opinion. I think they look "right"... or at least they will do.... if the other one ever turns up

Where did you get them/it from? :p It looks so good.

They came from the Bay of "E". Got a seriously good deal on them too! I'm praying some good luck comes my way as they seller's been in touch with Hermes and they've written it off a being lost completely. So if he refunds me I'm probably looking at twice what these cost to sort the problem.

I mean, there can't be that many lost Grande Punto light clusters in the Hermes Couriers delivery network!!!

How much? The cheapest I've found is £130.
That would really suck if they're completely gone :/ Surely Hermes are liable or something?
Replacements do look pretty expensive.

That would be them, yes! Apparently Hermes don't accept claims for multiple packages becoming separated. He's offered to refund, but I just want to wait a little while longer. I love the way they look.

I'd been thinking about jumping to Evo lights, but IMO these look better... I know some will think LexARSE but the car has a Blue/Black theme going on so they suit perfectly. :(

SNAP! At that price you start thinking, "Well, it's a seven year old car, is it really worth it?!" Then again, I did just spend a couple hundred having the "Bumper Spoilers" fitted..... I think my credit card's going to have to bear the brunt.

With two of them your car will look amazing!! Those lights suit yours really really well.

Just think of your car as a hobby, then the vast sums of money it sucks up can almost be considered justifiable :p Some people will spend £300 on a golf club, so £130 on lights isn't that bad ;)

Your car does look incredble!! I really like it.

Thanks Guy!

It'll look even better with it's badgeless grill and refurbed alloys! (And the other light, should it ever be discovered.)

This is it. I'd been looking to order a 500C Abarth, but I do so many miles it's not worth buying something newer or nicer as I'd just strip all the value out of it in 12 months. I couldn't bear putting stone chips into fresh, pearl-effect white paint so I don't mind spending a bit to keep the old girl in good condition and making her a bit unique. (There are so many blue GPS out there!)

As long as she passes the 5 foot test, thats all that counts.

I'm sure you can claim from the seller who in turn claims from the shipping company, you have protection in this instance.

Don't be scared to fight, your contract lies with the seller not with hermes, so a full refund or replacement puts its right, if not you offer to take them to court as you've only received half your order.

If you ordered a new car and only the front half was delivered, would you be happy?

First, it is up to the seller to deliver it to you, not done, so he should refund or replace.

Second, hopefully you only fitted the one to see how it looked and have returned it to standard until you have a pair. All lamps need to be a matched pair, except singles such as rear fog, reverse and top brake light. You can pretty much replace anything as long as they are a pair. e.g. you can put round headlamps on the front as long as you do both sides, but not one round and one square. Like this, you will soon attract the police, who will then examine the car for any other issues. Do you really need that hassle.

Each to their own I guess... If everyone liked the same things wouldn't it be a boring world?

YES - I think I'd quit driving if we all drove HONDA's - or anything japanese..!!

I've Never liked "Licksass" lights,
to the point where I look longingly at the Rears of GP's -over my new Punto's "clear-rears",
Can you feel a "swap" coming on..??, ;)
