Been following some of the posts regarding overheating. The radiator fan on my 1999 punto doesn't come on and looking into the rad with the cap off there doesn't seem to be much movement of coolant.
How exactly do you test the fan by shorting the contacts with a paper clip? i.e which contacts?
If the fan is OK but not coming on, am I right in understanding that the temperature sensor for this is on the radiator somewhere? And that if the radiator isn't getting hot because of a blockage / airlock / faulty thermostat then this could explain why id doesn't come on?
