Technical Punto GT boost gauge

So on the cluster the boost gauge works no problem but I have a boost gauge on the drivers side pillar that don't move ... its teed off from the cluster boost gauge is that correct..? Or should I just not plumb in the cluster gauge and just go straight to the boost gauge on the pillar..??

Mine had a separate boost gauge in and that was just teed off behind the cluster , it worked ok .
