Technical Punto Sun Visors

had to look this old thread up as had this issue with my sun visor.
Also found this on youtube

Only thing he forgot to mention is what a PITA it is to try and drill the metal.

I got a few cheap £5 passenger side visors sent to Finland. It was easy to swap the spring over to the broken drivers side and I still have a spare one if another spring goes. (y)

In the end i gave up trying to drill it, none of my drill bits would touch it...so finally resorted to plan B...went on ebay and bought a replacement. From what i coud see from pics on ebay looks like mk3 Punt uses same visor. However i bought one described as Mk2....it said used but looks almost brand new to me. Anyway all fitted and at least i now dont have visor flopping around right in my line of vision

The video i posted shows exactly what to do including how to get the metal clip out. What the video didnt show was how hard it is to drill a hole in the 2 pieces, none of my drill bits would touch it. In the end i gave up and just bought a complete visor

video only shows how to get broken clip out

Hi Flisko

Not sure what you are asking about.

Using my method you sacrifice a good wrong side visor to get a good clip for the correct side visor. Destroying the cheap wrong visor is not important.

Fairly sure putting the clip in was easy. Put it in place and then push in the rod for the holder that screws to the car.
