Hi everyone, and please help.

First, I have Punto MK2 1.2, produced 2000 year. 2nd Sorry for my english.

I recently realised that battery was not in good condition, but still was ok. Yesterday was so cold and the car refused to

start. When I tried to start it, engine tries to start, then all lights disappear, and display resets. Because i was so far and can't leave car there, i decided do go downhilland start it in 2nd gear. The car started but i realised that it turns off on low revs. However i drove it home. Now i recharged the battery. Car starts well but still when i release the gas

pedal, engine tries to stay working on low revs 2-3 seconds, and turns off.

Yesterday when i was on my way home, i saw ignition light lighting on downhills. Car was in 3rd gear, with gas pedal released.

If there are lot of possibilities, please tell me if I can increase somehow encrease revs, so I can drive it to some garage service. Because in this condition I am afraid it will stop somewhere in the traffic.

Thanks. And please help

I recharged the battery. Now, no ligths on. Car starts well, i drove it on nearby streets. It's all good until i release the gas pedal.

May it be the timing belt change somehow, because i started it that way i explained in my first post?

Thx for your reply

Is there a way to manually increase the revs? So i can drive it to a garage for repair. Because in this condition the car is not working in idle. Help please?
