Have you replaced the rear Cinq drums with discs or just the front discs?

Has anyone done rear disc conversions on a Cinq? Lol

I have rear disc on my CC. Mostly for service purposes (I hate removing worn drums!) but also I have a little stronger engine.

Acording to the parts cd, Barchetta calipers are the same as Punto GT ones.

I doubt there would be many Barchetta's in your local scrappy but the info is worth knowing all the same.

I did hear that one of the Mareas has the same calipers too.

I am sure i read somewhere that the rear cailpers on a Punto GT are the same as a Cinq.

No, rear discs on a Punto GT are the same as Cento front discs. Punto GT calipers include a handbrake arm, and, I am told, the same as Marea ones.

The Rear Punto pads look the same as front cento one's as well.....

Hi there,

I am trying to swap GT brakes on my cinq but the Brock B5 alloys are a huge problem. I sand de calipers a little but this is not enough.

Maybe 10mm spacers will do it, the 3mm that I use now is to thin.

at the moment the wheel is almost clear. only the balance leads are a little to high.

Can you give me some advise. And is it safe to use 10mm spacers on a turbocinq.
I need this brakes cause of som troubles with my legs and that why I don't have to much pressure power to put the paddle on the ground.

They will only fit with 14" wheels or larger...

14" 7J ET 25 with 3mm spacers.

My old AZEV rims should fit right of way. I think. De space between rims and calipers is bigger than these rims.

The spacers wont make any difference i'd say as they only make the wheels sit further out....

The diameter isn't the problem anymore. Only the spokes...? are to close to the moving part of the brakes. So if the rims goes 10mm to the outsite the space between spokes and brakes is more.

The will fitt.... some day

Brake upgrade Succeed Finally.

After I placed 16,5mm spacers at the front and 20 at the back, a lot of grinding and things like that they fit.

Oh?? Is it normal that the brake pedal has more stroke?
I think so. Cause of the bigger pistons.

Tomorrow I will order other discs and brakepads.

right just a bit of info for anyone doing this.
i have bendix stamped calipers but if you get the bendix pads listed for the punto front then these are too small.the bendix calipers are actually made to the ATE speac.so ATE pads are what you need.

now of the snow stops i may get them fitted

anyone remember the advert on tv from years ago that showed a car with 'carlos fandango' super-wide wheels trying to get through a gap in a field i think. what were they advertising?
anyway those wheels look huge!!

edit: it was an anglia and the advert was for hamlet cigars! classic.

Fitted Putno GT brakes to Emma's car, these as you will see have a different calliper design, these are from the early GT 94-97, whereas my callipers are the later type 97-99.
