Well I changed the gearbox fluid and filter, this made no difference at all. So after a bit of googling and forum hunting (free plug for www.l200forum.com) I found a mitzi mechanic in Aberdeen that likes a homer. He traced the issue to a broken wire in the gearbox wiring loom and fixed it for a grand total of £40. BOOM!
So it's back on the road. But now the engine is surging, suction control valve is to blame for that, ordered one up and will get it changed on Tuesday or Wednesday.
In other news, I have a tablet set up and ready to be dash mounted replacing the trip computer. It will give me all the trip info that I currently get from the vehicle, plus a lot more. It will also give me full sat navigation, and offroad GPS by using the OS app and downloaded maps. Bluetooth connectivity through my phone will allow me to tether to it and give me Internet as well.. I just need to get a power lead for it.
Nice to see a 4x4 that actually gets muddy. I saw a white L200 this morning that looked like it had never been off road in it's life. Thank feck for sunglasses they way it was gleaming
I miss having my own dog so yeah, love to see other peoples. Poor Genga and Suzanne barely got a hello at SICD as I was paying more attention to their dog
Btw, nearly wrote that I'm a bit of a sucker for all things furry but thought it would a) make you explode and b) start all sorts of rumours. Although you'll probably do that anyway
There were no rumours if I remember correctly as it was all true and once again the neighbours missed it. For a nosy bunch they sure are useless at spotting young men visiting me
