Problem with gear Punto 2005

Hello all,

I own a Fiat Punto 1.3 2005 automatic.
Today I finished a convertion from automatic to manual gear.
There is an issue with the ECU of the car.
it doesn't pass 4,000 RPM.
plus I have a gear light on in the speedo.

What could be the issue?

you have a auto ecu, its looking for sensors that should be in the gearbox telling it it needs to change gear, probably why it wont rev over 4000 revs as its not getting the right signals and thats why the gearbox fault light is also on

as joni says,maybe a virginised ecu off a manual version would solve your problem?
theres likliest lots of codes stored in your bsi too
im sure i read on this forum that the auto uses a different throttle body too but i might have dreamt it
