General power steering HELPPP

hey mate of mine bought a power steering motor off me

he has a 2002 punto and this motor is off a 54 plate

his one was intermittent

he has now replaced the motor and ecu that i sold him and he has no power steering al together , it was removed working from the car

any ideas

Were they both the same size motor?

As i believe 2002 was the point they swapped from a relay built into motor to a relay-less motor

2004 motor is incompatible with 2002 motor
its like getting linux to run windows software without wine
