P.s I personally think you shouldn't be able to sell a car with the tax.. I think it should have to be sent back.. It should help with the untaxed/uninsured thing.

I agree - Or something should be done asap as apparently it is on the tax system (automatic penalties if no tax and no off-road certificate) about the insurance and MOT also, if all the data were held by the police/dvla they would know exactly who is insured and MOT'd and who isn't... hopefully this is just around the corner?

Paul, whilst I agree with you wholeheartedly n the pulling over rather than safer roads thing, I think some things need to be takin into consideration

No one carries their insurance/tax etc round with em, thats nutty. most are at home, all sfaely locked up where people know ehere they are.

The photocard licesnse actually suggests you keep both parts together, so the argument for it being "easier to carry" is erroneous.

And finally, the time coppers take is ludicrous. I got pulled for not wearing aseatbelt(didnt argu,e, stupid thing to do" and it took em 15 mins to give me a ticket! While I understand that they need to explain it to you first and make sure you get the picture, fifteen minutes! come on.

Funny story - ish about being pulled though. I was travelling along a road with the cop car behind me, a Motocross bike pulls out of a side road, no reg/lights/tax/insurance/helmet. The copper puts his lights on, I move to the side to let him past, he pulls into the side as well.

At this point I thought it was because I had pulled over at the brow of a hill, and that it was a bit dim really, sop I pulled out and carried on going, with the intention of pulling in again. Which I did. Then he pulled up behind me and wandered over.

Thought I was gonna get done for evading the police hehehehe
