I'm a newbie to the site & have just purchased a 2008 500 1.4Sport in Punk Grey.
I'm having issues with the blue & me saying all of the time that it is building the library, so you cant skip tracks etc, but it will play the next one along.
Any ideas as its really annoying. Cd's were never this difficult!

Secondly, I have an iphone (hubbie did software upgrade with no issues ), but I no longer see text messages when they come in, whereas my old Sony Ericsson phone would come up on the display. Not sure whether its the phone compatability or car kit itself.

Anyhelp would be great

Not sure on the first part of the question but the iphone will not read text messages,very few phones will as yet,Sony Ericsson are the most compatable.

Yeah sony erricsons are the really the only ones that work

Building media library is a common problem with USB sticks. driving up the pigging wall!!! you have to unplug it and replug it in again for it to work!

Do yourself a favour and buy the blue me adaptor for iphone / ipod, its brilliant! and solves all of the problems ! thank god!

I've got exactly the same problems as the OP - I've got an iPhone, but have decided against buying the cable for now as I'm happy to use a USB for my music, and having sync'd my phonebook with the car the only thing I still can't do is listen to text messages but I think I can live with that for now

I kept getting the 'building library' message too - but just left the usb stick in there, and last night (after about 3 days) I realised it was working now - I was able to use voice commands etc. I guess it just takes a while? Just leave it plugged in and hopefully it'll happen eventually! Sorry, not very helpful probably!
