i am trying to unlock a nokia 7600 from 3 can anyone help me

Now you mention it, i think Lora's got a pint. Not sure if you can unlock 3 phones, as they normally tend to be cheaper than other networks and so stop you transfering them.

I might be totally wrong but afaik 3 phones are different to other phones and theres no way of using a 'normal' sim in them.

I know this is the case with the first 3 phones that came out as we had one...

early 3g phones had real problems with 2g sims.
whether this was engineered in i dont know. networks dont want you not using the 3G networks as they paid a fortune for the licence's.

There are 3G phones that can be unlocked.

The new ones and the later old ones... such as the LGU8120 aka the gay phone and the NEC phones.

These phones are Capable of GSM data transmissions and GSM phones are not capable of UMTS transmissions.

You can go backwards but not forwards in most cases.
