PC ppl please help (also ipod users may be able to help too)

ok i have something wrong wit ma pc have no idea what it is nor do i care its to much hard work

so i have loads of music on ma pc which is all on ma ipod, now if i format ma hard drive il lose all this but will i be able to put it back on ma hard drive using the ipod?

i believe you can but it wil not put it back onto your pc in any logical way, it jumbles everything up so you no longer have artists folders etc..

there is a programme you can download to do it, i used it when i got my laptop. cant remember the name though.

Im told that when you copy all the files from the Ipod (attached as an external hard drive) itunes can rename all the files and order them correctly by using the embedded ID3 tags if you have "allow itunes to sort my library" turned on.

If you just need to transfer all of the music from your iPod to your HD - go here http://www.versiontracker.com/php/search.php?mode=basic&action=search&str=ipod+to+itunes&srchArea=windows&x=0&y=0

and use one of the apps - it will transfer all songs in the exact order you had them on your itunes before

A:\

so how can i change it to C:\ and then i guess i just type format

Use you Windows disc to format it.
You need to boot from cdrom - may need enabling in the bios

Change to C:\ by typing

cd c:\

cd meaning change directory

then type format
it will ask if you are sure
type y if you are

You can do it that way but its still quicker to just use the windows cd when you choose which drive you want to install windows on
