Technical Passenger grab handle removal

Greetings,

My retracting roof blind doesn't retract and I've only just realised that it should, so am taking a look. Have got most of the roof liner off but am stuck on the passenger grab handle. No visible screws so I'm assuming something needs to "unclip" but I've really given the covers some oompf by sliding a flat headed screwdriver underneath and yanking and they just won't budge. I'm frightened I'm going to damage something. The headliner won't come down enough for me to look at the blind roller mechanism without removing it, so I really need to get this thing off.

Car is a 2008 1.4 16v Lounge.

Does anyone know where I should be applying the force?

Fiddled a bit more and got the covers off. The plastic bits either side are covers that unclip, revealing a couple of torx bolts underneath. Hear are the all telling photos of the handle and the covers that unclip. Hopefully it's clear what to do from these, but basically slide a small flat head between the cover and the handle at the point where the bit-you-grab, the plastic cover and the headliner meet.
