you're protesting at the wrong person there I think:rolleyes:

You need to make sure that the modules are the same No or your car will stop running all of a sudden.

I've just got the following off of mine;

HUS47P 0D
HUS47R
525473 A

Have I got the correct bits from it? If so I'm assuming its not compatable then, as nothing looks anything alike :confused: :eek:

Jon only the 4x4 has the module, if you put the wrong one on the car will run and as the engine warms it will cut out and die then wont start till cold again. I'm going to get some No's for Pete tomorrow as I have a few in the garage. I bought them brand new from ebay but as usual not because I needed them but wanted newer bits on when I got the above problem. I put the original back on and it was perfect again.

yeah sorry, do I owe you royalties or anything?

No. I'll let you off this time :p

Oh right. So what is different about them then? Just when/where they were made, or do they have to be made esspecially? :confused:

So I take it this one is no good for mine then (y) (I did make a note of the correct numbers didn't I?)

Jon.

Right Jon I thought the No's were on the modules themselves but they are not they are above the 829R1 829P1 of which the Sisley has a No of SE101C-->5G. The one that didn't work was SE101A-->3L Both are Magneti Marelli units. The Modules themselves have a printed No on the top I have 4 of these and they are all different so probably a manufacturing no rather than a part No, However just above the contacts on the silicone/plastic material any with the No 9 didn't work and those with 10 did although I haven't removed the one on willie to ensure this is correct. If I have time later I will.

Just to add to this, it was a continual trial and error for which did & didn't work. When fitting the new dizzy unit with new Module it worked for 5 min I then tried changing modules only which made no difference. On putting Willies Distributor back on, once again I put the new module on it with the same result cutting out after 5 min when I replaced with Willies original module it once again ran fine. I then tried all 4 modules one at a time and two worked two didn't. I even went on to changing the internal parts of the new dizzy but couldn't get it to work. I have another spare dizzy with the No's SE101C-->(can't remember) and once again this appeared OK.

Oh bloody hell :p :eek: (some of that went over the top of my head :p)

So I assume the numbers I got off of mine are the correct one's (there not anywhere else like underneath are they)?

Looking at this item on ebay, the numbers I took off of mine are in the same place as pic'ed on this listing on the item (on the nice shiney bit of metal) - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=380087828893&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=025

Jon.

Right the one advertised has the No SE101A which is exactly the same type as I bought but as said never worked.
