Yes, I remember it the last time it were on. So whats wrong with it then

Bit stupid them lying about it. Because if someone from the other end of the country wins it, and they're a bit rough, there could be a bit of a punch up!!!

:) Dear All.

The black Panda Auto on Ebay, which has illicited such a vigorous response from some Forum members is mine.

While I do not feel the need to justify my position, i do think i should have the opportunity to set the record straight. I am, however, very dissapointed that the Forum, which i thought was for like minded enthusiasts to chat and exchange ideas, has been used purely to have a dig at another member. In several instances, by frankly rude and hurtful personal comments.

From reading these comments, I have been branded a liar and a cheat, yet my detractors have not even had the common decency to view the car now or indeed ask me for more details.

I therefore feel it necessary to give all Forum members some background. By checking my Ebay feedback you will see I am approaching 600 positive feedbacks. 232 of these are for the selling of cars & motorbikes. Without exception, i have recieved superb feedback, often along the lines of 'better than described' and 'a superb vehicle & excellent seller'. I am very proud of my honesty & integrity, and go to great lengths to describe cars, often over describing any imperfections or faults, so the buyer is more than pleasantly suprised on finally viewing it.

Of these 232 vehicles, some have been from my personal collection and some have been bought purely for resale in order to fund my own car interests & hobbies. I have never hidden this fact & I NEVER buy or sell any car that i would not be personally happy driving and using as my own family transport. Indeed this Panda, until the recent snows & frost put paid to the fun, has been used with for family days out and school runs with my 3 year old twins on board. Something I would not consider if I had a shadow of a doubt about it's condition or history. Once again I am only selling it as i've spotted yet another superb Panda I would like.

I am indeed a Panda enthusiast, and to date have owned 27, from 1986 to 2007 models. It is therefore pedantic to also say i do not know what I am talking about by describing it as a MK1. So, technically it is a Mk2, but please remember in the wider population, and indeed within friends in the motor trade, this old style Panda is fairly universally known as a Mk1, and the current shape as the Mk2. Rightly or wrongly, that is simpy the case and had I described it as a Mk2, i would have upmteen messages saying 'oh no it's not etc etc etc'

The Panda in question is indeed a superb example of the breed and I have caried out a great deal of work to bring it up to it's excellent condition. Although I also take issue with some other descriptions, as it was a fantastic car to begin with.

I am all for free speech, and if it's not your cup of tea, fair enough, but in the spirit of live and let live, please don't feel the need to continue to attack my own integrity, thank you. Richard

Hi
Propably nobody wanted to say anything wrong but somebody saw the car
so now what is true and what isn't...
....Just went to take a look at this before my folks handed over their hard earned cash for it................................................
Described as 'perfect' this is what we were met with:
The near side windscreen pillar had ha a rather dubious repair on it, full of clag and roughly tinny canned over in black possibly by stevie wonder. And then looking inside the car, I peeled back the door rubbers to find non factory sealer covering up some - what I guess nasty welding, probably also by stevie wonder.
Neither door fitted, infact they fitted so badly you could see inside the car through to top of the doors!
Broken head lamp.
Scuffed and split front bumper.
Badge missing off side trims, and only one trim clip holding it on.
the paint looked like it had gone through a carwash that used brillo pads !
So, lets say it was maybe......................not so perfect !!
......

I'm confused now a little bit...

I remember your Panda...I even asked about some paperwork details as I wanted LHD Panda...but at the end price was to high to me :(

Hi Rich...
I'v viewed Pandas on ebay before and have then written a thread on here for others to read..the idea being to highlight the good and bad points these being "In my opinion"
Sellers have been upset by this in the past but i'v been upfront and told them about the forum.
The sharing of info is key to this forum and anything which does not add up will promt chat..
There were issues talked about which would be great for you to reply to...

So heres your chance...also dont forget..as i'v said before on other threads ebay is huge and comments on here rarely get seen by the ebay public we are as you say a bunch which care about our and others Pandas..
Good luck with the sale.....

My comments on the black french panda were not meant as a personal attack on anyone, it was just observations of a car that had been described as 'perfect' yet was far from it. I presume the car now has a new front bumber, a new headlamp, the door gaps sorted, and the windscreen pillar has been repaired properly, and the assorted small dents repaired, and the scratches down the roof painted?? It did need a fair ammount of work to make it the 'perfect' as described, fair play if you have done the work, but if you havent - at least dont describe it as you have.

Dear All

thank you for your comments. I do indeed take them on board and fully understand that there's 2 sides to everything.

I have done a considerable amount of work to my Panda since buying it from a couple in cheltenham, but unfortunately since this thread has appeared on the forum I have received some quite unpleasant & threatening emails direct to my ebay account. obviously the individual concerned as been reported for what it's worth and i simply don't get how someone can get so uppity without ever seeing it or talking to me!:(

It has me wondering if I do indeed want to jump in with another Panda.

I'll be signing off for bit and enjoying Christmas, so happy Pandering and who knows, i might be back in the new year, if i simply can't resist something.

I can rest easy knowing that whoever does buy my Panda will indeed be getting a fantastic motor.

Bye all, Rich
