Colours must have been selected by Fiat employee on LSD trip.
"Mamy" name is terrible, sounds like an Al Jolson song.
Seat covers are a great idea because kids soil the seats in all sorts of lovely, unexpected ways. Bet they're not chewing gum proof though.

The colours seem rather close to some from Dyson recently: who knows - maybe this is the Panda Cyclone edition, with extra reach stair nozzle in the boot...

Called into our local dealership to conifirm that both out mk2 Panda's are the same colour white. I then happened to stumble across a Mamy
I love it! The colour is amazing. Well in the end I took one for a TD (well a similar speced Dynamic) and I'm really impressed with the mk3 Panda as a package. I've found out what finance deals there are, and might well be concidering one.
So in answer to your question Jai, looks like I'm most likly to buy one at the mo.
£8200 at 0% over 3 years with a 30% deposit. Comes with Dynamic Air/Con spec with sliding rear seat and Blue and Me (is it any good?).
So I might be checking my finances

Defo don't think I'll be getting one then. Out of interest, if I were to get one this way, where would I stand with the 3rd year dealship warrantie (sp?)? Is the car only covered for the 3rd year at the dealership you got it from?Jon.

Just to say that my wife will be collecting her new Panda Mamy in the morning. It's the purple one.
As a word of warning to other potential buyers, what you see in the promo pictures is not what you get. The car does not come with roof bars or 14" alloys. We have had to do some haggling. They did agree to put the roof bars on but not the alloys. We decided to order the alloys anyway which are out of stock until August and £100 dearer than advertised.
Personally I was suprised they were unwilling to throw in the alloys especially when you consider that I am taking delivery of a new 500 in September. ie. we are buying two new Fiats and there are no sweetners on mine at all.
On a positive note, although we were told there were only 10 purple Mamys in the UK, they did make every effort to get us one. What they couldn't tell us was if the colour was solid or metallic. The good news is that it is metallic.
I will be using it on the odd occasion while I wait for mine and in no way will I feel a dick. It's a cool looking car and doesn't say Mamy on it.

On another note, FIAT rang this morning to say that their safety check diagnostics machine suffered an electrical failure yesterday so they couldn't finish the tests on it. So we will have to wait until this afternoon before we can collect it. They do seem a little shambolic these people.

The wife's really not very happy with FIAT as they told her the tax would be £35 a year. It's clearly not.
Personally I don't understand why as it has the 1.2 engine just as the 1.2 Fiat 500 I'm getting which is £35 a year tax. If this is something to do with emissions, why the difference?

oooooh dear.... the emissions thing was something i asked about a while ago, the 500 apparantly has a reworked head, and other bits, so drops its emissions enough to qualify, that should have been made clear to you

Sounds like a rush job to me. Clearly they shouldn't have promised what they couldn't achieve... Hopefully it won't stop you enjoying what a great little car the Panda is.
The only Pandas in the £35 tax band are those with the Multijet engine and it is measured on emissions.

Early days. I'm sure the Panda will become a family friend.
I'd love to name and shame the dealer we got it from but I'll leave that until I have safely got away in my 500 in September.

No consolation, but my Halfords one has been on the screen since day 1 and hasn't fallen off once

Almost 8 years ago now when Number 1 son was born I attached an old caravan extension mirror above the baby seat. This allowed me to see the baby from the normal rearview mirror perfectly. The extra mirror in the Panda Mamy just isn't very good. I can see the child sitting directly behind the driver seat but the other side is obscured by the front seat.
What we both like about the Panda is the higher diving position. I recently drove a Vauxhall Astra coupe to London and had an agonising pain from my right hip to my toes most of the time. I'm used to driving vans and my old Land Rover which never give me trouble. Even my Ford Focus was painful after 2 Hours. So the Panda wins hands-down there.
Also had a look at the 4X4 Panda day before yesterday. I like the look of that very much but I'm more into the old car look.

Well, the Panda Mamy hasn't been still long enough to take many photos but I did manage to get a snap whilst at MacDonalds where my kids decided to pose in their Kung Fu Panda masks.
