I have a 2009 eco 1.2 panda which is almost due a 2nd service. Until today I have never had a problem with it. Now even though it turns over very strongly it just will not start. On the dash is is showing an error code fps. It is still under warranty but I am not sure if fiat will find this is one of the exceptions to warranty, or even if they will recover it to their service centre, All Helpful suggestions gratefully accepted. Thank You

FPS = Fire Prevention System

There is a fuel cut-off switch under the front drivers seat that will reset the system.

This usualy only activates after an impact, so BEFORE pressing the switch do a quick under bonnet check to be sure you have no fuel leaks.

Also check with the engine running after perssing the reset switch to be sure.

As far as I can recall, It's under the passengers seat, you should feel a rubbery cover, its on the top of the raised part of the carpet near the outside end. It is a press down type switch that pops up when activated. You simply push it back down to de-activate it.

Many Thanks for all replies. Reset switch was found under the passenger seat. Car is now working again.
