oh this all sounds complicated, had a quicky on ebay and there are differnet psi pumps . Can you get adjustable ones so if I buy the wrong one I not wasted money

I'm sure you can buy pressure regulators that you plumb in after the fuel pump. The fuel pump just pumps away at a constant pressure, but the regulator sets the pressure that is sent to the carburetor and returns the rest to the tank in the return line. At least, that's how I understood it.

'Filter King' is a name that springs to mind, so maybe doing a search on that?

By the way, it's making the fitting of an injection Panda tank and a few wires seem quite appealing!

And the fuel pump lobe can be machined by a engineering shop to give it a profile to drive the pump. Not sure how they'd go about hardening the surface though, but they do re-profile camshafts so they must do something to put the hardening back.

We need to see Arc's Punto 75 camshaft now!

Right! But we should be able to fit the 75 camshaft straight into FIRE injection engines because they don't use a mechanical fuel pump anyway.
Now I'm going to have to buy an injection Panda AND a 75 camshaft!!!!!

But I WILL be putting the 4x4 camshaft into Red's 1000s engine....

Will this affect the Emissions and therefore cause us problems at MOT time?

I'm still waiting to fit mine! My anti -roll bar has had precedent!
Now I've got Green on the Road, I will try and have another crack at it!
unfortunately, my 4x4 camshaft still has the Securing bolt for the Cambelt wheel broken/cut off in the threaded hole!!!!!! H
How do I get it out?

mind you! As Green has an Electric fuel pump - he could take a punto 75 cam without Modification:devil:

You could drill into it then tap it then bolt into the bolt and try to get it out. Although i doubt that would work unless you can losen the original bolt first

Have given up on this particular shaft - getting a replacement sent FOC.
Tried to engineer the bolt out but with no luck......

As you all probably found out already the 75 cam does NOT have the lobe for the mechanical fuel pump, it has a round lobe instead (i think it can be machined to work since it's the same thickness as the thickest part on the cams with a real lobe)

i don't post regularly anymore because i'm in lurker mode lately...reason is i'm with the lancia crowd (Thema 16VT :p )
