If i was you i would carry on, and weld in new metal. If the only problem the car has is the corrosion, then its worth carrying on with.

I'm no hero, I'm not working at it. Stuart is.
The top two pics look exactly as my 45CL did. The plastic bung in the top right pic had disappeared and carp and muck had got into the back of the sill and rusted it out. IMHO from the pics that's definitely repairable, took me a weekend of shaping and welding in new metal and making good.

Hmmm, depends... if you love the car then its repairable, however getting another would be more sensible and as they are cheap, the best bet. However, I have had far rustier cars than that and had them fixed well. That 2nd pic looks tricky to do properly. Also, if you get another, then its more for us to look at!

Stuart reckons a previous patch job in the rear inner wing was a balls up. It wasn't welded, just held in place with seam sealer and presumably undercoated over.
I know Barry, the thing is that I no of no other 750 in NI. I've never seen another and I don't think Jim has either and between us we've owned almost every Panda in the country.

Steve Chris has just given you the answer. Crazyjet flights are cheap at the mo so you pay to fly Chris over and I'll lend him my welder and he could do it for you. What do you think Chris would an afternoon cover it or would you want to stay overnight to give you a bit longer.
Stu i think that a very good idea, but my fee is a week in a 5 star hotel, and many cups of tea
"Boy you're expensive"! Or is that welders fees generally. I would be happy to stretch to the tea. On the hotel front you'd have to slum it like the rest of us. I would have thought you would be happy to offer your proffessional services to Steve.

If I could weld Id jump at the chance of coming over to NI and meet you guys, it would be brilliant fun. Such a shame, seen it happen so much with old cars, then in years to come you look back and say, why did I scrap that car, now it would be a goodun!
If its a genuine offer, i will come over and weld your car, but instead of the 5 star hotel, i will accept payment in panda selecta spares and free veggie food

A 750 auto? That would be painful... Jim, why not get hold of a 999cc or 1108cc FIRE and drop it in. I'll help!
What about taking an engine, ecu, and gearbox out of a punto selecta, and putting it into Jims panda, but that still doesnt help Steve's 750.

It will be a bigger job to change a selecta into a manual, than it is to weld the 750 up.
