hi all.
i have a problem with getting started .
When I try to start the car it won't start.
it only starts at the 2nd x or even 3rd x
otherwise fine running and starting all day.
many replaced already.fuel pump, spark plugs, map sensor

I will leave it to people that own the 100HP to chime in

If it was a 1.1 or 1.2 I would suspect oil / water in the inlet manifold

or dirt stopping the throttle body fully.

Can I ask.

When you start the car do you just turn the key straight round to start or do you pause and allow the fuel system to prime.

Mine did this when I had a failing coil. it's easy to diagnose with a low cost infra-red thermometer. Start the engine from cold and aim the laser pointer at each of the exhaust stubs close to the cylinder head. The cool/cold stub has a weak coil. You can confirm by swapping the coil with any other and seeing if the cold tube follows the coil.
