Hi all, I'm new here, so hopefully I'm asking a question in the correct place.
I have just renewed the rear axel complete with new disks and one new caliper (the n/s caliper was serviceable) and a new hub with ABS ring, on my 2008 Panda 100 HP and now I've bleed the brakes using a pressure kit, but don't have a very good peddle at all and I had a message on the dash 'ABS not functioning' (or similar) is there something I'm missing? (MOT tomorrow afternoon)

Have you got a multimeter
Thanks Koalar for your advice. I just wrote out a more detailed account of sorting the Panda out, but I must have hit an incorrect button, because you only got the last bit, sorry. Hopefully the Panda will go through the MOT now, I seem to have sorted it out this morning, (after a good nights sleep) Thanks again. Dave

Hi all, I managed to get the Panda through the MOT with only one advisory, a n/s trackrod end, which has slight play, so having investigated it found that it's a bit rusty, (securing nut is jut a blob and steering arm is also very corroded) so I managed to purchase a replacement kit which contained the trackrod, steering arm and new boot, for both sides. Managed to remove trackrod end securing blob and break the friction fit to the hub, cut off the old boot, so as to see all the arm fixing to the rack. the question I have is how to undo the nut fixing to the rack? the new one is faceted, the old one is smooth round and directly above the subframe/lower suspension arm, so access is VERY restricted, do I have to remove the complete rack or what?
Thanks in advance

If I understand you correctly

Something like this

And some long extensions so you can get a breaker bar from outside the wheel arch

I have a tool like this which uses an eccentric cam to grip the inner ball joint eBay item - 315833685464

On 100HP, don't forget to replace the plastic spacers that prevent the tyre sidewalls rubbing on the gearbox at full lock.
Thanks Dave, I didn't know about the spacers. I'll have to investigate where they are and if I need any, do you know where they are located on the car? it's a bit late now for me to venture out to the workshop and have a look, but will do in the morning.

I've got a tool as you've described, but I need to grip the smooth securing nut at the steering rack and the tool which Koalar suggested is exactly what I need, now ordered from Amazon and hopefully delivered tomorrow.

Thanks again for your help
