Technical Outside temperature sensor replacement

Hi everyone. The outside temperature sensor has died. Dashboard reads ----˚C. I've done a search and came across a few posts that refer to video to replace the sensor without removing the mirror but all the links are now expired. Does anybody have a good link. Thanks.

An update on my outside temperature sensor replacement. I bought a sensor from online auction site less then £10. I didn't fit new sensor in the mirror. I cut the wires in the door and connected sensor there. Sensor temperature was same inside door as it was outside. Less than 1 hour from start to finish. New sensor red wire + , green wire - . Secured new sensor inside door using ty-wraps.

If you had intimate contact with the door skin i would say that's a damned good idea. No issues with an intimate white van (or stone wall) kissing your mirror too energeticaly.

Just replaced mine, just replaced the sensor in the mirror and soldered the new one's wires onto the old wires, works fine and only need to take the glass out and the back off the mirror.
