Technical Ambient temperature sensor

Hi, we are currently in portugal in our 2016 autotrail motorhome, a Ducato 2.3d 130 manual gearbox. The dash outside temperature reading has been increasing and now shows 52 degrees, which it is obviously not. I've read a lot of different opinions on the website, some saying it's dangerous to keep driving, others say it's not. Any help would be appreciated as we have over 3000 miles to drive, before we return to the UK.

Firstly, I would try disconnecting battery for 30 mins to see if that resets it.

Is it a standard Fiat cab where the sensor is in the mirror?

If so, a mirror with sensor delivered to an Amazon locker or address in Portugal would be an easy ish fix.

I think you will be fine to be honest but can’t say 100% as I am sure you have already found out, nobody really knows for sure.
