Ouiji board - anyone tried one?

Ouija boards are so much crap, it was originally intended as a game but certain people of the long haired, unwashed, LSD fuelled variety started to take it seriously.
Ahem, my only experience did include a number of people who although quite well washed, did have long hair and had been known on occasion, quite a few occasions actually, to use halucagens. That makes it worse, much worse.

iPhone???????????

Get a Blackberry!:D(y)
Mrs. Beard has just swapped her phone for a Blackberry.....she can't see the keys :ROFLMAO:. It's going back to be replaced by one with very big keys.

It's actually quite a fun party game for when a group of mates have a few drinks.

If there really were spirits involved (other than alcoholic) do we not think that they would be moving the pointer by themselves rather than relying on people?

A close friend of mine has a pagan tattoo that says "an it harm none, do what thou wilt".

I think it pretty much somes up how I feel about spirits, gods, prophets, ghosts etc.

If it does no harm to anyone including yourself, believe and do whatever you want.

Trouble is, it's also about offending other's beliefs and sensitivities.

A few years back we had a well=known medium doing a stint at a local village hall and one or two church groups got together to demonstrate outside the venue as they felt that dabbling with the spirits was blasphemous etc.
Mind you, no more offensive than when the jovies come a knocking to try to flog me the warcry

The spiritualists are what remains of the old pagan religions before christianity cleaned them out built churches on much older holy sites then later burnt folks at the stake, etc.

In the end its all about control and politics and some folks actually believe its true.

Personally I wouldn't be able to resist pushing the thingy so that it spelled out rude words.

But essentially, like all this stuff it's just a load of old hogwash - it doesn't "work", it isn't propelled by spirits, it's purely down to people having their hands on the glass and moving it around.

(If the "spirit world" existed and wanted us to know about it, I doubt they'd wait for a load of people sat round a board - if one of the aforementioned spirits were me, I simply wouldn't have the patience!)
