Are you now in KDE? or from a command line?

I have always used KDE (i found it easier :)), try something simple like...

#startkde

Ok this is the error i get upon boot up with the priniter in the USB port.

Kernel pani: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
In interrupt handler - not syncing.

I am using the Redhat on the GUI to access the system tools etc.

Ok i have the KDE already activated when i log on so thats ok.

When i'm on the printing settings i go to add a new print queue, then i add a new one.

Its now asking about the queue type.

/dev/lp0
/dev/usb/lp0 HP Photosmart 7150

The printer isn't plugged in but i tried before hence why it says HP Photosmart 7150.

What to do? ;)

Sorted it Daz, it needs to be plugged into the USB then you must goto printer settings then add the new queue printer and the USB option will appear and the printer needs to be switched on upon boot up, then let it configure it as it boots up.

All that for a printer, starting to think MS Windows is better.

LOL ;)

Thanks so much for your help mate.
