Oh grow up Rob...
It was me that did the quoting from the web. This is a public forum not a subscribed one and people come on here for advice with their cars. Tom brought up the subject of legality regarding the placement of the number plates on the car shown earlier. Understandable as people may read the post and think it's perfectly fine to do things without realising any possible legal implications.
I appreciate that jim, Smee and you have all got an understanding of the legal implications talked about here. I quoted from the HMSO website as Tom was being doubted on the legal requirements he was mentioning - in which he was right. You may have an MOT tester that doesn't think there is a problem with your plates, and you may have met many an understanding police officer that also had no problem with it. However, for every understanding one there is a strict one who will not let people get away with it, as such it's only fair that people are informed of this (many Anonymous users use this forum and never register or even post). I know people who have been let off minor infringements such as these on many occasions only to be stopped and ticketed instantly at a later date.
I think the petty name calling is immature and very unsociable of you, a forum is a medium for discussion and not somewhere to shout down anyone who does not agree with you. Tom is a respected member of the forum who has helped many users of this forum for quite some time, he is strict with the word of the law and obeying without question, but so am I. This does not mean that we are forcing anyone else to be but in a discussion forum it is only fair to inform people of all the facts. It is not really fair for this to be followed by derogatory comments and personal insults for doing what this board is here for in the first place.
You have one of the best modified Bravos out there Rob, and even though i'm not a fan of modding I can very much appreciate the amount of time, money, blood, sweat, and tears you have put in since you first posted on here. But in the end you only get treated by people in keeping with the way you treat them.
